3A- Your Entrepreneurship Story
A time in my life when I have been exposed to entrepreneurship was last year when my cousin presented his app available for iPhone and Android, called NILI. He explained that it was a night life app that when opened you are exposed to activities, clubs, or events that are popular attractions for tourists according to your location. Through this app primarily college students, one can pay for tickets, drinks, and or reserve a seat/table for a night out in the city. I was very impressed with my cousins entrepreneurial abilities and it came as a shock that he created such a unique and trendy app. However, his app was not a huge success and he later had to transition into a different marketplace to find a sturdier source of income. Through trial and error he came up with his passion in life and is now very successful. This experience was very beneficial to myself because it inspired me that anyone can do what they have a passion for, whether that may be becoming a surgeon or designing an app in the technologically advanced world we live in today.
I enrolled in ENT3003 in order to learn new things, learn more about what interests me, and to expand out of my comfort zone as far as trying different experiences. In addition, I hope this course provides me with the confidence of being able to share my ideas with the world of retail business management, while also being provided with new information. Furthermore, I wanted to register for this course to meet new people who have both different ideas and similar to mine to collaborate on certain ideas to expand my horizons at UF. Overall, like all of my prior courses, I hope to get the most out of this class through my strong work ethic and commitment that this class entails.

ReplyDeleteI found this really interesting, as the entrepreneur you know is quite close to you. I find his idea of a nightlife app quite remarkable. I was actually running through ideas of making one myself. I also really liked how you mentioned how you hope ENT3003 allowed you to express your ideas. Even though I didn't state that in my post, I wish I would have. I think it is important for us to be able to share our ideas, and hopefully strive through them.
